Cascade Clamp - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring four people. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. Through five years of operation, the company had expanded to forty workers and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is amongst the leading worldwide makers within the material handling business.
Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. During the past 60 years, the material handling business has developed into a very complex field and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this progress. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the leader supplier of lift truck attachments and various associated items. In the year 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in the year 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing services within the continental USA to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Carrollton and Portland, Oregon.
